Global section

Footer

The footer closes every page with your brand blurb, up to three menu columns, social links, a legal line and the language + country selectors.

SettingTypeDefaultDescription
logoimageFooter logo. Leave empty to use the shop name.
blurbtextareaA short brand statement. Line breaks are kept — put the address and opening hours on their own lines.
legaltextA small legal / allergen line (e.g. “Contains milk, may contain traces of nuts”).

Link columns#

Add up to three Link column blocks. Each has a heading and a menu; leave the menu empty and it falls back to your store policies.

SettingTypeDefaultDescription
headingtextLa MaisonThe column title.
menumenuThe links in this column. Falls back to your store policies when empty.

Build the menus first

Footer columns point at Shopify navigation menus (Content → Menus). Create the menus you want, then pick them here.

Social links#

Toggle which networks appear in the footer. The actual profile URLs are set once in Theme settings → Social links — the footer just chooses which of them to show.

SettingTypeDefaultDescription
soc_instagram … soc_tumblrcheckboxOnShow Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Snapchat or Tumblr (each has its own toggle).
soc_custom1 / soc_custom2checkboxOnShow the two custom social slots from Theme settings.
SettingTypeDefaultDescription
show_language_selectorcheckboxOnShow the language selector. Appears when more than one language is published in Settings → Languages.
show_locale_selectorcheckboxOnShow the country/region selector. Appears with more than one market; prices and tax messaging follow the shopper’s choice.

More on this in Language & region.
